The 2025 International Customer Service Week (ICSW) of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) entered Day 2 on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 with the spotlighting of a Students Essay Competition at the Tayo Aderinokun Hall, UNILAG, Akoka.
Ten (10) contestants mounted the podium to highlight their presentations on the competition’s theme: Digitization and Self Service, a Mission to Improve Service Delivery in the University of Lagos .








The winner of the competition will be announced on Thursday, October 9, 2025 during the finale of UNILAG-ICSW.
In his opening remarks to flag off the competition, the Director of Quality Assurance and Servicom, UNILAG, Professor Olufemi Saibu said the Student Essay competition which has held consistently as part of activities for the International Customer Service Week in UNILAG, has become a major highlight of the annual event and a platform to challenge, harness as well as appreciate students’ intelligence on germane issues.


According to him, a total of two hundred and sixteen (216) entries were received for the essay competition, this was reduced to two hundred and six (206) after first screening, further down to forty (40) after second screening and down to the ten (10) finalists.
Prof. Saibu expressed optimism that the competition will help contestants build their public confidence while showcasing their knowledge on the theme being debated.
Asides the essay competition, Day-2 of UNILAG-ICSW also dedicated quality time to team bonding and fun activities such as different board games.


The 2025 International Customer Service Week of UNILAG, themed: Mission Possible , will climax with a Stakeholders Forum, launching of a magazine and Prize/Awards Presentation Ceremony on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
