UNILAG IS MORE THAN JUST A UNIVERSITY. CARES, CHIBUIHEM STANLEY
Good! But I think, Public Relationship and Advertisement should be under Social sciences or better still, major in some Sociology and Psychology courses.
Thank you for your input Ayoola. Public Relations and Advising was previously a course under the Department of Mass Communication, which was domiciled in the Faculty of Social Sciences. It is that department that has now been unbundle and expanded to become a stand alone faculty and the key courses under it, its department. Rest assured that these decisions were made after years of careful deliberation and professional review.
Unilag is great for implementing this initiative. Now, you are to compute with those advance countries Universities by splitting those faculties with their respective bundle courses.
This will further enhanced the more practical aspect in some courses especially those medical courses and yield more good results
Will they update the Inter-faculty eligibility transfer list then???
Thank you for asking. Information about this will be shared on our official website (this website) and social media platforms (@UNILAGNigeria) once available.
May I know when your Post. UTME application will commence? Please get me informed.
The online registration for UNILAG’s Post-UTME Screening exercise commenced on Monday, July 28, 2025 and will close on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Click here –> https://lagosedu.com/2025-2026-post-utme-screening-exercise/ to learn more.
This is a brilliant news , kudos to the administration
Are the new courses available to 2025 ASPIRANTS on the JAMB PORTAL ?
OF COURSE! THERE ARE JUST TWO UNIVERSITIES IN NIGERIA.
THEY ARE, UNILAG AND THE OTHERS.
GIANT STRIDES MY ALMA MATER.
KEEP MOVING.
KEEP PUSHING.
KEEP ACHIEVING.
Great!!!!! I love this development.
What happened to those graduates that earned degree from one of the faculties so advanced . Can the unilag senate or authority re award to meeting the recent development ? The products of the unilag are in the eyes of the world 🌎.
The degrees earned before now remain forever valid and final. Our esteemed alumni are always welcome to pursue any of our many postgraduate programmes in these faculties. We heartily look forward to being a part of your journey in life-long learning!
Please what will the jupeb subject combination be to study music and sound production?
Thank you for asking. Verified information about this will be shared on our official website (this website) and social media platforms (@UNILAGNigeria) once available.

University of Lagos remains “University of First Choice” Greater Innovation and academic excellency is her first priority and goal to be ahead
UNILAG FOR A REASON
Unilag is getting greater .I hope it makes me a leader
Waooooo. Congratulations 👏🎉 to Unilag
Good work. Intelligent futuristic plan. Kudos to the management board.
I am so happy for Architecture, school of first choice and the nations pride
Lovely structure, It would have been nice if Mathematics was under faculty of Computing.
Wonderful! I am very proud of the critical thinking, innovative, industry and employment focus Courses. I will further advise that the management enhance their advocacy with private and public sectors to develop self empowerment and industrial base courses through Labour information statistics. Thanks.
A graduate of urban and regional planning HND, PGD and registered Town planner and I want to further on a Master’s in any related discipline.
Hello, kindly visit our School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) physically or via https://spgs.unilag.edu.ng for detailed information.
Unilag: University of first choice
I think it is really cool. Please when unilag will release postgraduate admission?
Thank you. Applications for Postgraduate admissions was open from March 3, 2025 – August 1, 2025, with the deadline for submission being Friday, August 8, 2025. You can visit the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) physically or via https://spgs.unilag.edu.ng for further details.
Great strides, my Alma Mater … always proud of you.
This is a good step in a right direction. I hope UNILAG will review their policy as regards cross discipline endeavours for postgraduate studies.
Where is SPESSCE and it’s department? Is it not a faculty?
No, SPESSCE is not a faculty. It is a Centre, as indicated in its name: UNILAG Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement Centre of Excellence.
So it doesn’t fall under a faculty?
No, I does not.
I strongly believe that this will bring the much needed intellectual drive and challenge to foster human resources development towards economic growth in the country. This is just the beginning because it will set out the pace for other educational institutions in the country to follow.
May Nigeria be freed from the fangs of chronic corruption and may Nigeria be greater.
Well done 👏
I would like to commend the University under the visionary and able leadership of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Folasade Ogunshola, OON for this bold and forward looking initiative. It’s simply brilliant and will not doubt propel the University into an assured future of innovation and academic excellence.
Great job! But could they put this into consideration to make business education a department on it’s own instead of under technology and vocational education
But business education is available asa course in UNILAG on JAMB portal
In Management Sciences Faculty, kindly kick-start programmes like B.Sc Marketing, B.Sc Entrepreneurship Studies, B.Sc Securities and Investment Management, B.Sc Cooperative Economics and Management,.. etc.
The University of First Choice remains my Alma Mater.
Adaramola A. O. (M.Sc & Ph.D – Unilag)
Pls in the faculty of engineering, I did not see computer engineering and electrical engineering? Doe it mean UNILAG does not offer those curses?
We have the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. It is under this department, that the programme Computer Engineering is housed.
I believe that the department of intelligent systems and robotics should be under the Faculty of Engineering
Rest assured that these decisions were made after years of careful deliberation and professional review.
