POST-UTME INSTRUCTIONS
Ahead of the scheduled Post-UTME Aptitude Test, all candidates are advised to read ,and follow carefully, the instructions indicated below:
General Instructions
- The Post-UTME Aptitude Test is online and competitive. Candidates are strongly advised to ensure they have a reliable internet connection before attempting the test.
- Candidates’ activities during the period of the aptitude test will be monitored and recorded. Candidates must comport themselves accordingly. All candidates must use a laptop computer with an in-built webcam and microphone. (Mobile phones are not supported).
- Candidates are forbidden from covering their webcams during the period of the aptitude test. Our inability to see the candidate at any time during the test may result in disqualification.
- Candidates are not permitted to leave their sitting position once the test begins. Please prepare adequately before starting.
- The use of external cameras or HDMI displays is strictly prohibited. Any attempt will lead to immediate termination of the examination and possible disqualification.
- Nobody is permitted to be around a candidate during the period of the test, not even family members. Candidates may be disqualified if anybody is seen around them during the test.
- The duration of the aptitude test is 30 minutes. The time starts to count immediately candidates click the start button and continues to count even if you log out before your 30 minutes lapses.
- Candidates must not speak aloud or read the questions out during the test. Doing so may lead to disqualification.
- In the event that a candidate runs out of time, the aptitude test will automatically be submitted.
- Use of face mask, face cap (fez cap), ear piece or head phone during the test is prohibited.
- Candidates taking their examination at business centres or cafés are strictly advised to ensure that no one is sitting or moving around them during the exam. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
- Candidates must ensure that their examination environment is well-lit and not dark. Any candidate who cannot be clearly seen or identified will be disqualified.
- Candidates should note that they can ONLY LOG IN on their scheduled date and time.
- To report any issues encountered before or during the examination, kindly use the “Need Help?” button located on the test login page or the submission page. Please ensure that you exhaust all troubleshooting suggestions provided before submitting a complaint.
We recommend reporting issues as soon as they occur to avoid delays in resolving them. You will receive updates via email or through the examination platform regarding the status of your complaint as soon as the issue is resolved. Candidates are advised to report any challenge immediately.
Directions to take examination
The examination can be accessed in any of the following ways:
- By clicking the “Go to WebTest” button on the UNILAG application portal; or
- By clicking the “Click Here To Take Exam” button at the bottom of this email; or
- By logging in at https://unilag.proctee.webtest.ng with your UTME number as username and surname (in lowercase) as password.
All options lead to the examination dashboard. Once logged in:
Step 1: Click the “Take Exam” link. This opens the instructions page.
- Download and install the specified examination browser for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
- Note: Only the version indicated on the instructions page will work. If you already installed the latest version, you do not need to reinstall.
Step 2: Grant all permissions requested by the SEB browser.
Step 3: After installation, return to the exam page and click “Click here to take your exam” to launch the test.
Please note:
The examination browser is supported on Windows 8.1 or higher Windows OS and Ventura OS for MAC users.
MOCK EXAMINATION
All candidates are strongly advised to participate in the Mock Examination scheduled to hold from Monday, August 25 to Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
This exercise will afford candidates the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the examination platform ahead of the actual Post-UTME examination. Candidates are expected to install the examination browser and test same on their laptop computers.
Candidates are strongly advised to avail themselves of this window of opportunity of the mock examination in order to
(a) Install the examination browser.
(b) Take the mock examination; and
(c) Get some practice on the device they intend to use for the actual Post-UTME examination.
