The University of Lagos once again proved that it knows how to rock – just as it excels in research – as the 2025 International Week treated participants to a Varieties Evening of connection, camaraderie, and cheers.
Held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Arthur Mbanefo Digital Research Centre (AMDRC), the Varieties Evening provided a relaxed atmosphere for delegates, staff, students, and guests to unwind after days of intensive sessions on the theme “Equitable Partnerships and the Future of AI in Africa.”
With the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola,OON,FAS and members of Management in attendance, the evening was filled with laughter, music, and lively performances that showcased the best of UNILAG’s creative spirit.

From spontaneous dance moments and animated conversations over cocktails, mastered by the lively Michael Dimeji Lamu, the event captured the essence of what the International Week stands for – a perfect blend of intellectual depth and social warmth.

In every sense, it was a memorable celebration of people and partnerships: proof that at UNILAG, global engagement comes with both brilliance and beats.
