The University of Lagos (UNILAG) team has returned from the just-concluded 18th Triangular Games hosted by the University of Ibadan (UI), after taking part in a lively and friendly week of sports.
The Triangular Games featured Senior Staff Clubs’ members of the three major federal universities in the South-West—UNILAG, UI, and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). The teams competed in different sports including 5-aside football, volleyball, ludo, scrabble, ayo, draft, and darts.
UNILAG’s delegation was led by the representative of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. M. P Kuton, and Chairman of the UNILAG Staff Club, Dr. Adeola Oloyede. Although UNILAG didn’t top the table, the team put in solid performances and showed great teamwork in many of the events.
The Triangular Games provided a platform to promote unity and friendship among the three institutions. The next edition is be hosted by OAU in Ile-Ife.
