The Confucius Institute, University of Lagos (CI, UNILAG) has launched a workplace communication programme designed to prepare Nigerian learners for employment in Chinese enterprises through practical Chinese language training.
Eligibility:
The Career Chinese Programme, which will commence on Monday, September 21, 2026, is open to job seekers, university students, graduates, vocational students, and employees of Chinese companies. Applicants without HSK certificates may take a placement test.

Learning Outcomes

Admission Requirements

- Valid means of identification (NIN, International Passport, Driver’s License, or Voter’s Card).
Additional requirement for UNILAG Students & Staff:
- Students: Admission letter & completed biodata form or current UNILAG ID card.
- Staff: HRMD recommendation letter.
Date of Commencement: Monday, September 21, 2026.
Internship & Employment Support: Outstanding students may be recommended to partner Chinese enterprises. The Institute will coordinate with employers to apply for tuition reimbursement for successful graduates, subject to company policies.
Certification: Graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion in Career Chinese issued by the Confucius Institute, UNILAG. Students may also register for the official HSKK Intermediate Test.
