The Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos (UNILAG), will on Friday, September 4, 2026* , honour one of its distinguished academics, Professor Omololu Soyombo, at a special event celebrating his 70th birthday, retirement from the University, and the presentation of his autobiography.
A major highlight of the occasion will be the delivery of Professor Soyombo’s Exaugural Lecture, titled “Why We Are Where We Are,” scheduled for 10:00 a.m at the Faculty of Social Sciences Lecture Theatre, UNILAG.
