The first edition of the Citadel School of Government (CSG) Dialogue Series is set to hold on Saturday, October 4, 2025 ,from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the CSG Lecture Hall, Lagos. The Dialogue Series, themed: Nigeria at 65: Historical Reflections, Futuristic Projections, serves as the first Seminar Series event of the Advanced Diploma in Public Leadership and Statecraft, a programme currently being run in collaboration with the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS).
The event which aims to serve as a platform for critical reflection, dialogue, and fresh ideas on Nigeria’s future, will feature the following speakers and topics:
- Professor Emeritus Akinjide Osuntokun (Professor of History and International Relations and Nigeria’s first Ambassador to Germany) will speak on Why We Are Where We Are: A Historical Exploration of the Current Complexities of the Nigerian State and A Historical Gaze into the Future of the Nigerian State: Shaping the Future through the Lens of History
- Dr. Tunde Bakare (Founder and Board Chairman, Citadel School of Government) will speak on Bridging the Gap to the Future: An Intergenerational Interactive Session
