DESCRIPTION:The Safeguarding Center\, University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to hold a students’ hackathon competition and safe-guarding training programme on Wednesday\, February 25\, 2026 at 10:00a.m. at Hall B\, Academic Publishing Center (APC)\, opposite Faculty of Social Sciences\, UNILAG. \nThe event aims to: \n\n Train and certify students as safeguarding officers for digital security and harm prevention.\nDevelop an app addressing technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) and other new/emerging campus violence.\n\nThe app is to provide: \n\nClear information on recognizing and reporting TFGBV;\nImmediate resources and support for survivors; and\nEfficient and discreet response protocols within the university environment.\n\nMembers of the University community are cordially invited.
