In 2024\, the Institute proudly marked its seventh anniversary\, celebrating years of impactful contributions to scholarship and policy discourse on Africa and its Diasporas. \n\n\n\nThe Open Day will commemorate this milestone\, while creating a platform for dialogue\, feedback\, and collaboration. \n\n\n\nTime: 9:30 A M. \n\n\n\nVenue: Institute of African and Diaspora Studies\, J.P. Clark Building\, University of Lagos. \n\n\n\nThe event will highlight the Institute’s contributions to research\, academic development\, and advocacy. Clark Building\, UNILAG \nProfessor of Entrepreneurship Hub-Innovation and Strategic Management\, UNILAG\, Professor Sunday Adebisi\, who is also the Director of Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre (ESDC)\, UNILAG\, will speak on the theme: “The Role of Vocational Training\, Entrepreneurship and Organised Labour in Combating Economic and Social Injustice in Nigeria.” \nThe event will also feature the award of prizes to winners of a secondary school essay writing competition organised by IADS in celebration of the month.
