DESCRIPTION:  \nThe maiden Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering\, Faculty of Engineering\, University of Lagos (UNILAG) will hold as follows: \nDate: Wednesday\, August 5\, 2026 \nTime: 10:00 a.m. (Guests seated by 9:45 a.m.) \nVenue: Engineering Lecture Theatre (ELT)\, Faculty of Engineering\, UNILAG \nThe landmark lecture themed: “Optimizing Electricity for Powering Nigeria’s New Socio-Economic Frontiers” will be delivered by the Managing Director & CEO of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC)\, Engr. Jennifer Adighije\, FNSE. It will be chaired by the Chairman of the Industry Advisory Board\, Faculty of Engineering\, UNILAG\, Dr. John Erinne\, FAEng. \nThe event will serve as a platform for leaders in government\, industry\, academia\, alumni\, policymakers\, researchers\, and students to deliberate on electricity as the backbone of Nigeria’s productivity\, innovation\, and economic competitiveness. \nMembers of the University Community are cordially invited.
