Prof. Nwanna Receives Social Work Education Award


First female Professor of Social Work at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and immediate past Head of the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Chinwe Rosabelle Nwanna, has received the prestigious Social Work Education Award.

Prof. Nwanna received the award at the Day of the African Child (DAC) Students’ Conference organised by the Africa Social Work & Development Network (ASWDNet) on June 16, 2025.

The Social Work Education Award was presented to Prof. Nwanna in recognition for her contributions to the field of social work education in Nigeria.

The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Senate, staff and students, congratulates Professor Chinwe Rossabelle Nwanna for receiving this award.
