Schedule for Election of EXCO for ANUPA, UNILAG

Important Notice - Light

The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators, University of Lagos (ANUPA, UNILAG) has released the following list of vacant positions, eligibility criteria and schedule for the election of new executive officers:

  • Vacant Positions
  1. Chairman
  2. Vice Chairman
  3. Secretary
  4. Assistant Secretary
  5. Treasurer
  6. Financial Secretary
  7. Publicity Secretary
  8. Training Officer
  9. Legal Officer

  • Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates for any vacant office(s) shall file a notice of his/her intention to contest for that office and send same to the Secretariat of the Electoral Committee
  • Two (2) active financial members of the Association who shall not be less qualified to contest for the position being sought by the member shall endorse the notice of intention.
  • The notice of intention to contest shall be submitted to the Electoral Committee within the time prescribed.
  • No nomination shall be deemed valid unless a nomination form provided by the Electoral Committee has been duly completed by the candidate and signed by two (2) nominees who are financial members.
  • Candidates who have been financial members of the Association for at least (3) years are eligible to contest.
  • Candidates for positions (1) and (2) above shall not be less than Principal Assistant Registrar/Principal Assistant Secretary in addition to the requirements above.
  • Candidates for the position of Legal Officer must have a minimum qualification of LL.B in addition to the requirements above.
  • In addition, candidates are expected to submit their vision for the Association in relation to the position being contested for in not more than 150 words.
  • Candidate indicted or being under investigation of any act of misconduct shall not be eligible to contest.

Please note that only financial members of the Association shall be eligible to vote and be voted for.

Monday, October 12, 2026Advertisement of vacant positions
Monday, October 12, 2026 to Wednesday, November 11, 2026 Collection and Submission of Nomination forms (from the Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr. Kehinde N. Onakoya or the Secretary, Mr. Sule Musa) between 9 am – 4 pm at the Directorate of Academic Affairs Office UNILAG or Department of Haematology and Blood Transfusion
Wednesday, November 18, 2026 Screening of Nomination forms/Candidates: 10:00 am Directorate of Academic Affairs, Senate House, UNILAG
Wednesday, November 25, 2026 Publication of list of Eligible Candidates/Declaration of Electoral Campaign Open
Wednesday, December 9, 2026 Voting commences at 9:00 am – Online
Counting of Votes holds at 10:00 am
Declaration of Results holds at 12:00 Noon
