Flashback to Friday, September 19, 2025, when the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS) held a brief cocktail reception for new intakes of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, at the Senate Lounge, 1st floor of the Senate House, UNILAG.


Welcoming the new intakes, the Director of the programme, Dr. Simeon Ifere talked about the DBA programme, its curriculum, faculty, and significance in today’s world.
The Executive Director of ULBS, Prof. Mike Adebamowo, in his address, noted that the reception was a fulfilment of the promise made at the Orientation Programme of the 5th Cohort (consisting of 33 participants). He thanked the University Management for its continued support, and disclosed that close to a 100% of the first and second cohorts would graduate in January, 2026.
Highlighting the steady increase in the number of intakes and quality of the programme, Prof. Adebamowo assured the new intakes of a transformative experience that will be worth their time and money.

On behalf of the University Management, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, welcomed the cohort, and encouraged them not to run away from Nigeria as “there is a future for the country”.



Other highlights of the reception included a goodwill message from the Director of Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre (ESDC), UNILAG, Prof. Sunday Adebisi; a vote of thanks from the class representative, Mrs. Bukola Ayinla of the Lagos State Health Service Commission; merriment and networking among the intakes.
