The Department of Building, University of Lagos (UNILAG) will hold a two-in-one programme, comprising a Town and Gown Discourse and 2026 Annual Project Management Lecture, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Hall B, Jelili Omotola (Multi-Purpose Hall), UNILAG.
The two-in-one programme is as outlined below:
- Town and Gown Discourse (Morning Session)
- Time: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Theme: Making the Most of Building as a Process, a Product, and a Profession
- Chairman: Bldr. Ahmed Lawal (MD/CEO, 225MM Construct Ltd.)
- Speakers: Fatai Olugbade (Group Managing Director, Hi-Construct Investment Ltd.) and Bldr. Lukmon Opaleye (MD/CEO, Erectas Engineering Co. Ltd.)
- Annual Project Management Lecture in honour of the late Professor Reuben A.O. Iyagba, who initiated the Master of Project Management Programme (Afternoon Session)
- Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Theme: Addressing Infrastructure Deficits in a Complex and Uncertain World through Effective Infrastructure Project Delivery
- Chairman: HRM Olumide Osunsina, FNIOB (Oba-elect, Olu of Ifo)
- Guest Speaker: Prof. Yakubu Olawale (Chief Commercial Officer, MAC Group, UK)
- Co-Speaker: Bldr. (Mrs.) Florence Gbaye (General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency)
