UNILAG Hosts IEEE Innovation Event, Oct. 25

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to host the Innovation Event of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Themed: Innovative Smart Grid Technologies: Addressing Nigeria’s National Grid Challenges , the event will hold at 10 a.m. at the Julius Berger Hall, Faculty of Engineering, UNILAG. Guest Speakers include Professor Oluseyi Olabisi (Head, Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering, UNILAG) and Mr Christian Okwori (Director, Advanced School of Power Oil and Gas, Nigeria).

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is the world’s largest professional body for engineers and technologists, with over four hundred and eighty six thousand (486,000) members globally. IEEE provides access to groundbreaking research, trusted global standards, and a thriving international network of innovators shaping the technologies of tomorrow.
