Authorities of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) received a delegation from James Hope University, Lagos, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
The team, led by the former Acting Vice Chancellor of the university and current Dean of the Business School, Prof. Abiola Babajide, included the Librarian, Dr. O. A. Shorunke; Director of Academic Planning; Dr. Samuel Etuh, Dr. John Nsikan, a Researcher, Consultant at the Business School, and Human Resources and Administrative Lead, Miss Chidiebere Chima.

The delegation was received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Prof. Bola Oboh; Mrs. Abimbola Durojaiye, the representative of the Registrar, Mrs. Abosede Wickliffe and Director, Academic Planning Unit, Prof. Matthew Ilori.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties and share experiences, with Prof. Babajide expressing gratitude for UNILAG’s mentorship since James Hope University’s establishment in 2023.

She highlighted the University’s achievements, including the recent appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Austin Nosike; and readiness for National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation, which is scheduled for second week in November, 2025.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Professor Bola Oboh, welcomed the delegation, on behalf of the the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS.
She applauded James Hope University’s progress and wished them success in their accreditation process.
