Prof. Odunlade Rachel Opeyemi of the Main Library, University of Lagos (UNILAG), has been appointed as the Pioneer University Librarian of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe.
Her appointment, which takes effect from March 11, 2026, is for a single tenure of five (5) years, in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Universities Act.
A dedicated professional with a strong track record in academic librarianship, Prof. Odunlade has contributed significantly to the development of library services at the University of Lagos. Her new role is a recognition of her expertise, leadership, and commitment to advancing knowledge systems.
As Pioneer Librarian, she is expected to play a key role in establishing and developing the university’s library system, laying a solid foundation for academic excellence and research growth at the Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe.
