UNILAG Wellness Team Honours Prof. Solomon Akinboye with Retirement Wellness Walk

Members of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) community gathered on Friday, February 27, 2026, for a Wellness Walk in honour of Professor Solomon Akinboye, following his retirement after years of service and contributions to the University.

The event commenced at 7:30 a.m., at the Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe Centre for Information Technology and Systems (ABS-CITS).

Organised by the UNILAG Wellness Team, the walk also underscored the importance of wellness and physical fitness, reinforcing the value of healthy lifestyles among staff and students.

As the walk concluded, participants expressed appreciation for Professor Akinboye’s legacy of service and wished him continued health and fulfilment in the next phase of his life.
