Sofiyyah Abidemi Murtadho, a 300-level student of German in the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Lagos (UNILAG), has been selected as a Millennium Fellow for the Class of 2026.
Miss Murtadho will serve as part of a global community of student leaders committed to advancing social impact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a language student, she hopes to promote second-language education and help young people see language not only as a means of communication, but also as a pathway to inclusion, identity, opportunity, and cross-cultural understanding.
The Millennium Fellowship is a global student leadership programme convened by the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) in partnership with the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI).
