The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has taken another step in advancing its Digital Transformation Project with the approval of a Personal Mobile Computing Device Ownership Initiative for members of staff.
The initiative, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, is designed to enhance productivity, flexibility, and digital access across the University community by enabling staff to own personal computing devices tailored to their work needs.
To ensure a seamless rollout, the University is partnering with a representative of an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), while financing will be provided by a third party. The cost of devices will be spread over a convenient period of twenty-four (24) months through structured deductions.
As part of the preparatory phase, a data collection exercise has commenced. A Google Form has been developed to gather information on the computing needs and preferences of staff. The insights generated will guide planning, inform procurement decisions, and support ongoing engagements with both the OEM and financing partners.
Members of staff are encouraged to participate in this exercise by completing the form via 👉🏽 https://forms.gle/KsUEzccDvPDeo9UJ6
